- Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM) is seeking a Clinical Services Representative I for Rutgers University Dental Associates (RUDA).
Under general supervision, this position carries out a variety of front desk services related to cash collections. The Clinical Services Representative I serves as a receptionist, maintains appointment books, requests charts, posts payments, enters and updates patient’s demographic and insurance information and collects copayments.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:

- Registers patients presenting for treatment; enters all biographic and insurance information into computer system.
- Obtains a copy of patients’ Medicaid/Medicaid HMO card and verifies and updates information as needed.
- Responsible for the collection and posting of patients’ payments.
- Prepares and balances receipts daily for the bank deposits.
- Assists in reviewing the patients’ charts to ascertain the account status and performs chart audits when requested.
- Calls patients with scheduling recall reminders.
- Responsible for opening the front desk in the morning and securing the area at the end of the day.
- Answers telephone, screens calls, and takes messages.
- Assists in the completion of insurance forms.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
