Job Summary:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Intake Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The Intake Coordinator will be responsible for managing patient intake procedures, ensuring accurate data entry, and providing exceptional customer service to patients.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet and assist patients as they arrive at the facility
- Collect and enter patient information into electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits
- Coordinate referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional manner
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a medical office setting or similar role
- Proficiency in medical terminology and knowledge of eClinicalWorks is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with dental terminology is advantageous
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of patient service principles and practices
- Experience working at the front desk or as a medical receptionist is preferred
- Understanding of ER procedures and protocols is beneficial
