**Position Summary** Under the direction and guidance of the Chairman and the Senior Adm. Asst./Residency Coordinator of the Department of Medicine will be responsible for the development and implementation of all office and clerical activities.

- Ability to effectively assist Chairman and Residency Coordinator with all daily departmental activities.
- Ability to prioritize projects and handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent organizational skills
- must possess good computer knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Assists in managing the daily activities of the department under the directions of the

Chairman and the Residency Coordinator.
- Type all office correspondence.
- Expedite all reimbursements via payroll/purchase requisitions while keeping track and

following up on status and discrepancies.
- Process high volume of employment verificiations.
- Schedule and manintain calendar for Chairman meetings and patients appointments.
- Maintain and organize all departmental files.
- Disribute, sort and redirect all departmental mail on a daily basis.
- Maintain inventory of all office supplies and handle office equipment repairs.
- Handle confidential information appropriately and exercise care in safeguarding proprietary information.
- Performs all other duties as required.

**Formal Education and Job-Related** **Experience**:

- This position requires a minimum formal education of High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year job-related experience.

Desired (not required) criteria include: 1-2+ years experience in Medical Center. Computer knowledge & Internet knowledge.

**License, ** **Registration, or ** **Cert. Required**

**Comments** 1 year college experience, Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), Customer service satisfaction, Cultural Diversity Training, Administrative Assistant Conference

Pay: $54,074.99 per year
