Job Summary:
As an Account Manager in the planter industry, you will play a critical role in nurturing high-value accounts, converting leads and prospects into long-term customers, and driving significant sales growth. You will engage in strategic planning, collaborate closely with the marketing department, oversee complex order processes, create detailed quotes, evaluate and approve customers for trade, and provide expert product recommendations. This role demands a high level of expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership capabilities to enhance customer satisfaction and drive the company's success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Account Management:
○ Develop and implement strategic plans to manage and grow high-value
accounts, ensuring long-term loyalty and satisfaction.
○ Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts to assess performance and
identify growth opportunities.
○ Gather and analyze post-sales feedback to inform support strategies and
enhance future customer engagements.
○ Develop and execute post-sales support plans, ensuring customers receive
ongoing value and assistance with products.
○ Implement feedback-driven improvements to account strategies, enhancing
customer satisfaction and retention.
- Advanced Lead Conversion:
○ Utilize advanced sales techniques and data-driven strategies to convert
high-potential leads and prospects into loyal customers.
○ Analyze market trends and customer data to tailor sales approaches and
maximize conversion rates.
- Sales Growth and Revenue Optimization:
○ Develop and execute strategies to achieve and exceed aggressive sales targets,
focusing on high-margin products and key markets.
○ Identify and capitalize on upselling and cross-selling opportunities to enhance
revenue streams.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
○ Partner with the marketing department to develop integrated sales and marketing
campaigns that drive brand awareness and lead generation.
○ Provide strategic insights and feedback to marketing to refine targeting,
messaging, and positioning based on market intelligence.
- Complex Order Management:
○ Oversee the entire order lifecycle for major accounts, ensuring accuracy,
efficiency, and timely delivery.
○ Resolve complex order issues and logístical challenges, maintaining high levels
of customer satisfaction.
- Quote Development and Negotiation:
○ Create detailed and competitive quotes for large-scale projects, ensuring
alignment with customer needs and company profitability.
○ Lead negotiations to secure favorable terms and close significant deals.
- Customer Approval and Risk Management:
○ Evaluate and approve new and existing customers for trade based on
comprehensive risk assessments and company criteria.
- Product Expertise and Advisory:
recommendations and solutions tailored to customer requirements.
○ Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging trends, and competitive
products to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Extensive experience as an Account Manager or in a senior sales role within a related
industry.
- Proven track record of managing and growing high-value accounts and achieving
substantial sales growth.
- Exceptional strategic planning, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and advanced analytics tools.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Preferred Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of the planter industry and its latest products and trends.
- Experience with complex sales cycles and high-stakes negotiations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and lead initiatives.
