We are PUP.
A modern and pleasant 5,000 square foot dog grooming and day care facility in the heart of San Juan Capistrano (just one mile from the Mission).
**Responsibilities**
- Welcoming visitors in a genuinely friendly, upbeat, attentive and courteous manner.
- Conducting a specific and thorough temperament assessment for new dog customers.
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date dog records, including visit history, services performed, and billing information.
- Utilize computerized systems to manage appointments, billing, and customized dog information.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve office efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Assist in monitoring and managing office expenses, including supplies, equipment, and utilities.
- Provide training and guidance to front desk staff, ensuring that they are knowledgeable and skilled in all aspects of their roles.
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using our booking system
- Provide clients with information about our services and products
- Manage and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception/front area
- Collect payments and process transactions accurately
- Coordinate with the groomers to ensure timely and efficient grooming services for customers
- Replenish and maintain organized retail inventory and notify management when supplies needs to be restocked
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints in an abundantly professional and timely manner. Being a great listener to customer needs and concerns is crucial.
- Maintain customer records and ensure confidentiality at all times
- Abide by and execute all safety and health protocols to ensure the wellbeing of pets and staff
- Perform other duties as assigned by the management team
**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in a front desk environment, preferably with dogs.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact with dogs, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
- Proficiency in computerized systems, including Apple products and practice management software.
- Excellent administrative skills, including attention to detail, organizational abilities, and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive or confidential information.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
