POSITION SUMMARY:

The Systems Engineer (SE) is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Operational Infrastructure Services and Security of the companies' information systems and platforms. The Systems Engineer (SE) will be required to research, implement, troubleshoot, and monitor systems and processes that support the business, support in-house equipment, and cloud-based services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages and monitors all installed systems and infrastructure for the organization to be in line with company guidelines or SOP (standard operating procedure).
Installs, configures, and tests operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
Collaborates with other vendors and departments to ensure high-quality deliverables within organization guidelines, policies, and procedures
Collaborates with the Help Desk and Service Delivery teams to identify and manage planned activities.
Ensure Incident and Change Control documents are accurate and complete.
Own, manage, and drive assigned requests, problems, and programs as required for all technology related infrastructure service issues.
New technology research and review on an ongoing basis to ensure that all systems are up to date and aligned with business strategy.
Responsible for monitoring Equipment Rooms, MDF/IDFs, Data Centers Co-location Facilities, Cloud (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS), and UPS systems.
Responsible for assigned tasks in Telecom/VoIP Systems, Network Services (VPN, Firewall, ISPs, Information Security), Data Centers, Server Operations, Application Infrastructure, A/V & Conference systems.
Tasks may include loading/configuring/installing/troubleshooting servers, routers, firewalls, network switches, WAPS, phones, and computer endpoints.
Responsible for review of system and security logs for risk mitigation and performance trending information

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Able to translate complex technical procedures into plain English, easily followed by other members of the IT Group.
Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
Ability to deliver technical presentations competently.
Able to produce and deliver relevant and effective IT system solutions targeted to the desired solution.
Must be able to work proactively and under pressure. Some after- hour and weekend work will be required.
Occasional travel to company locations and sites.
Comfortable working in a demanding fast-paced, customer-focused organization with a start-up culture with evolving processes. Flexible and able to adapt to new situations as the business demands
System Knowledge: Office 365 (including Sharepoint and Exchange), VMWare, Cisco, Lenovo Hardware
Active Directory: Access & Security Groups, GPOs, User Templates, AD Hardening
Experience with Azure, Amazon Cloud Services, ADFS, and other Cloud-based IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS providers
Proficiency in tracing network failures and assessing performance bottlenecks in a high availability, on-call environment
Experience implementing Windows Server and desktop solutions (including MS Office) in a multi-office, distributed environment
Experience deploying technology solutions utilized by a global enterprise.
Knowledge of the following: Systems Management Platforms, ITIL, and Microsoft System Center.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to work independently and prioritize with minimal daily instruction.
Ability to think strategically to improve current processes.
