About the Company Hiring: Our client is a growing E-Commerce company with HQ in Buffalo & multiple sites in the U.S.

About the Job: The Director of Business Development reports to the CEO, and is responsible for sales strategy, identifying new business opportunities, and managing client relationships.
  • Researching and identifying potential clients, markets, and partnerships to expand the company's reach.
  • Maintaining and nurturing relationships with existing clients while putting an emphasis in developing new ones.
  • Creating and implementing strategies to increase sales and achieve business goals.
  • Market Research: Analyzing market trends and competitors to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Proposal and Contract Negotiation: Preparing proposals, negotiating contract terms, and closing deals.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with the executive team, vendor managers, and other team members to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitoring and reporting on sales performance and business development activities.
Minimum Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office.
  • Understanding of retail and eCommerce along with experience in wholesale or distribution is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.


Salary: $150,000+

Work Style: Hybrid with plenty of remote flexibility.
