About the Role:

CannonDesign is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Representative to join our team. As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for identifying new client opportunities, building and maintaining relationships, and enabling the sales team to exceed targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Simplebid Director of Sales in identifying new client opportunities
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and individuals
  • Partner and collaborate with other leaders in the firm to advance new client relationships
  • Responsible for personally identifying a specific amount of unique new sales opportunities
  • Assist research and intelligence gathering for potential opportunities
  • Participate in the development and coaching of client-facing presentations
  • Work collaboratively with other business development professionals throughout the firm

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of work experience in a related position
  • Related industry experience and a network of public construction and procurement decision makers is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred, but not required
  • Additional certifications and/or training relevant to this role preferred
  • Experience with customer relationship management software platforms
  • Experience in relationship development and lead generation
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate authentically and respectfully
