Business Development Representative

About the Role:
CannonDesign is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Representative to join our team. As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for identifying new client opportunities, building and maintaining relationships, and enabling the sales team to exceed targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Simplebid Director of Sales in identifying new client opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients and individuals
- Partner and collaborate with other leaders in the firm to advance new client relationships
- Responsible for personally identifying a specific amount of unique new sales opportunities
- Assist research and intelligence gathering for potential opportunities
- Participate in the development and coaching of client-facing presentations
- Work collaboratively with other business development professionals throughout the firm
Requirements:
- 5+ years of work experience in a related position
- Related industry experience and a network of public construction and procurement decision makers is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred, but not required
- Additional certifications and/or training relevant to this role preferred
- Experience with customer relationship management software platforms
- Experience in relationship development and lead generation
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to communicate authentically and respectfully
