Business Development Manager

Job Purpose

Develop relationships within region to open doors to new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will deploy and practice global account strategy in conjunction with Management in order to achieve aims and objectives set for the business.

Nature of Duties:

  • DevelopAccounts
  • Manage existing customers
  • Ensure customer expectations are clearly understood, communicated and met
  • Sanmina's operations teams and the customer's teams are well coordinated
  • Insure the best business practices are applied to benefit our customers
  • Drive communication with existing customers, participate in QBRs, develop customer strategies, and solve problems
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with all levels of customer management
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve service and grow revenue
  • Work with the customer for timely payments, work through E&O issues, and other out of scope charges/costs
  • Develop relationships with customer engineering teams to learn of new opportunities
  • Expand Sanmina's market share with existing customers
  • Drive Regional Growth with New Customers
  • Develop business plan to identify all opportunities for IFS in the North America region
  • Accountable for meeting and exceeding sales revenue targets
  • Be familiar with the local market, customers and opportunities
  • Develop a professional network to help provide identify and pursue opportunities
  • Target customers, develop relationships, assess opportunities and win new business
  • Help to define and support SVA improvement actions defined and committed by the operations/account teams
  • Work with Quote teams to coordinate quotation activity on new business opportunities
  • Support preparation of proposals, meetings and other activities targeted at customer opportunities

Education and Experience:

  • BA or BS qualified or equivalent
  • 10+ years in EMS Sales or Equivalent Role
  • Knowledge of CM/EMS industry with background in Manufacturing with an understanding of global Supply Chains
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with vast remote cross-functional teams in large matrix organizations
  • Strong project manager with excellent ability to prioritize, multitask and organize
