DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As the Director of Residential Unit Management, you will oversee the effective and efficient operation of residential program services at Selinsgrove Center. Your role includes training and supervising management-level employees to maintain a consistent, integrated approach to residential management and ensure a cohesive interdisciplinary team environment. You will manage and oversee plans of correction based on surveys and monitoring visits to make certain that applicable care standards, policies, and regulations are understood and met to enhance service outcomes. Additionally, you will ensure that corrective actions for program services are completed within the designated time frame for all plans of correction. Your responsibilities will also include assisting in the administration of residential and program services to ascertain compliance with relevant rules and regulations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 1st shift (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM), Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
    • Occasional work on 2nd and 3rd shifts will be required.
  • Work schedule includes weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Overtime and travel may be needed for this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Residential Services Unit Manager (commonwealth title); or
  • Four years of professional therapeutic experience in a residential program providing rehabilitative, restorative, or habilitative care program services for individuals with a developmental disability, including three years in a supervisory capacity, and a bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences, psychology, social work, education, nursing, business, or hospital administration; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes three years of professional supervisory therapeutic experience in a residential program providing rehabilitative, restorative, or habilitative care program services for individuals with a developmental disability.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
