POSITION OVERVIEW
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking dedicated Residential Services Workers who will take charge of the design, development, implementation, assessment, and facilitation of residential programming and activities for designated individuals within their living environments. This role is essential in fostering a supportive atmosphere for those we serve.
WORK DESCRIPTION
As a Residential Services Worker (RSW), your primary responsibility will be to guide and mentor Residential Services Aides (RSA's) in executing the residential training programs and services outlined in each individual's Individual Support Plan (ISP). This includes the continuous evaluation of individual needs and progress towards the objectives established in the plan.
You will actively participate in Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings, contributing insights regarding assessments or services rendered, assisting in prioritizing needs, recommending effective methodologies, and collaborating with other team members to ensure a consistent program of active treatment is maintained for each individual.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Work Schedule:
- Full-time position
- Standard work hours are from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday, including a 30-minute lunch break.
- Flexibility in work schedule may be required.
- Overtime and travel may be necessary.
- Complimentary parking is provided.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences, psychology, social work, education, or nursing; or
- One year of paid experience in direct care and habilitative services for individuals with developmental disabilities, along with a bachelor's degree; or
- Five years of paid experience in direct care and habilitative services for individuals with developmental disabilities; or
- A combination of relevant experience and training.
Other Requirements:
- Must meet residency requirements.
- Ability to perform essential job functions is required.
