POSITION OVERVIEW

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking dedicated Residential Services Workers who will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and execution of residential program services and activities tailored for individuals in their living environments. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Residential Services Worker (RSW), your primary duties will include guiding and training Residential Services Aides (RSA's) in delivering residential training programs and services as outlined in each individual's Individual Support Plan (ISP). This entails continuous assessment and evaluation of individual needs and progress towards the objectives set forth in the plan.

You will actively participate in Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings, contributing insights regarding assessments or services provided, assisting in prioritizing needs, recommending methodologies, and responding to team members' input to ensure a consistent program of active treatment is maintained for each individual. Your work will be conducted through both written and verbal instructions, with regular oversight from the Residential Services Supervisor (RSS) or other supervisory personnel.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time position
  • Work hours are from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday, including a 30-minute lunch break.
  • Alternate work schedules may be required.
  • Overtime and travel may be necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences, psychology, social work, education, or nursing; or
  • One year of paid experience in direct care and habilitative program services for individuals with developmental disabilities, along with a bachelor's degree; or
  • Five years of paid experience in direct care and habilitative program services for individuals with developmental disabilities; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Applicants nearing graduation with a qualifying degree will be considered to meet educational requirements.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Applicants must fulfill the PA residency requirement.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions is mandatory.
