As the HR Manager at the Children's Refugee Shelter, in collaboration with Teneo Linguistics Company, you'll be at the heart of an initiative dedicated to providing refuge and hope to children from traumatized backgrounds. Your expertise in human resources will ensure that our team - the very backbone of our mission - remains cohesive, motivated, and aligned with our core values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all HR functions, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and employee relations.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that foster a supportive work environment.
- Handle staff onboarding and exit processes, ensuring a smooth transition for all involved.
- Coordinate professional development programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
- Address employee concerns, mediating disputes or misunderstandings.
- Collaborate with the Site Manager and Program Director to forecast staffing needs and ensure adequate personnel for uninterrupted operations.
- Manage employee records, ensuring compliance with all local and federal laws.
- Advocate for employee well-being and work-life balance.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role, with experience in non-profit or humanitarian settings being a plus.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of local employment laws and best HR practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Bilingual capabilities, especially in Spanish, will be considered an advantage though not mandatory.
