Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Assistant to join our team at FYI For Your Information Inc. As a key member of our staffing and recruitment team, you will play a critical role in supporting the recruiting and human resources specialist teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to the recruiting and human resources specialist teams in the development and implementation of recruitment strategies and processes.
  • Assist in the review and preparation of draft vacancy announcements, as well as the maintenance of electronic and hard copy records of applicant files.
  • Process and verify receipt of proper forms and documents for applicants, and upload them to automated application and tracking systems.
  • Prepare and distribute various form letters to applicants, and extend tentative or final offer letters as needed.
  • Process payroll or personnel actions in EmpowHR and the NFC databases, and complete History Correction Update processing (HCUP).
  • Prepare and submit pre-employment packages, including background investigations and drug panels, as outlined in DEA guidance.
  • Provide general office support, including answering the phone, document scanning, and filing.
  • Manage external email boxes to communicate and receive documentation from applicants and other sources.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two (2) years' experience in federal human resources, or an associate's degree and four (4) years' practical experience in federal human resources.
  • 2 or more years' experience processing Personnel Action Requests (PAR) including coding or processing personnel actions at a Federal Agency or supporting a Federal Agency.
  • 1 or more years' experience using USA Staffing to review and prepare draft vacancy announcements.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Office of Personnel Management (OPM) guidelines and Guide to Processing Personnel Actions.
  • Active Public Trust Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one.
