A Production Manager is a proactive and self-motivated position to provide comprehensive support to ensure smooth operations in a leading landscaping company. As an indispensable partner to our operations, you will play a pivotal role in upholding the productivity goals of the company by enforcing a series of processes, rules, and standards set in place to encourage accuracy, completeness, and consistency of all production schedules. You will help contribute to the bottom line by leading people and processes and meeting production and quality goals. Your exceptional organizational abilities, professional demeanor, and willingness to adapt to a rapidly changing industry will be crucial to your success in this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure work is being performed in adherence with safety policies and procedures, always placing safety as the #1 priority and consistently enforce the safety message with the team.
  • Planning and executing production schedules.
  • Effectively communicate with account management to establish current and future challenges, identify opportunities, ensure quality control results, and address customer concerns.
  • Actively communicate and problem solve with the goal of delivering exceptional quality to the customer, every time.
  • Develop daily work plans including weather, personnel and equipment contingencies that will be reviewed with your team at the end of each workday.
  • Effectively manage job hours to meet budget goals and quality standards.
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure all employees are being reviewed for individual goals and strategies that could improve their overall work performance.
  • Thorough understanding of all lean processes and how to effectively communicate the expectations to your crew members.
  • Successfully onboard all new crew members, ensuring they have a 90 day follow-up to see if they are meeting expectations.
  • Gain knowledge of our client base, contracts, and sites that we service.
  • Understand the challenges and opportunities for each customer that we service and ensure we are capitalizing on all opportunities.
  • Perform frequent site and safety audits to ensure quality control is being met.
  • Schedule preventative maintenance and daily equipment inspections are being performed on all equipment.
  • Ability to login to Aspire and understand how to generate daily work tickets, timekeeping and other production related tasks.
  • Maintain professional image by enforcing uniform, truck, communication, and time management standards.
  • Work as a liaison between the production crews and the shop. Ensure equipment issues are thoroughly communicated, prioritized, and managed.
  • Maintain 95% retention rate of desirable team members.
  • Understand, support and enforce all company policies in relation to your team.
  • Hold members to equipment assignments and ensure all team members are trained in safe and proper operation and held accountable for the care and condition of company equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK CONDITIONS:
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit unassisted for up to 12 hours per day.
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to work 50-65 hours per week through peak season.
  • Ability to work up to 6 days per week.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at one time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Involved in voluntary certification programs
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record
  • Basic understanding of potential mechanical difficulties
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Ability to effectively communicate
