The VP of Human Resources will be responsible for building and leading a strategic HR function. This includes developing and managing strategy for talent acquisition, engagement and retention programs, training and development, performance management, and total rewards while leading the organization through a cultural transformation. This role reports to the CEO. This position will provide relocation.

The VPHR will build a best-in-class HR function and will develop/mentor the HR team.

Responsibilities:
  • Overall responsibility to build, implement, and manage the Human Resources function including talent management, compensation and benefits, performance management, employee relations, training and development, talent acquisition, succession planning, and legal compliance.
  • Add value to the development of the business strategy and establish the strategic Human Resources agenda.
  • Build and lead a communications program focused on change management and organizational goals, in partnership with the senior leadership team.
  • Build a consistent and competitive staffing strategy that targets the best possible talent in the marketplace.
  • Continue to build upon the Employment Brand and tie into the recruiting strategy.
  • Implement integrated performance management systems to ensure focus on business goals, development of employee capabilities, aligned reward systems, and retention of talent.
  • Partner with the CEO and senior leadership team on spearheading the cultural change towards accountability and transparency, act as the ‘Culture Steward’.
  • Program management and development of a talent management strategy to include recruiting, succession planning, talent development, and retention.
  • Proactively manage employee relations to prevent and manage employment-related risks.
  • Ensure compensation and benefits programs that are competitive, cost-effective, and in line with the organizational culture.
  • Coach managers and broader staff on problem resolution and policy interpretation to ensure a positive and productive working environment.
  • Create a cross-trained, integrated human resources work team that offers developmental opportunities to team members.
  • Lead the development of metrics for the Human Resources function to measure results and guide higher contributions to the organization’s success.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • SPHR preferred
  • 15+ years of successful experience managing an HR function
  • Experience supporting an industrial workforce
  • Prior experience reporting to the C-Suite
  • Strong Talent Management and Talent Development leadership experience
  • Proven success as a strategic business partner
  • Previous experience with creating and implementing a strategic HR function
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational influence skills
  • Ability to lead through influence and integrity
