Why COnovate? Our Company is commercializing a remarkable, fundamentally distinct material called graphene monoxide—GmO is the world’s first solid form carbon monoxide at room temperature. The unique chemical structure of this COphiteTM material enables greater lithium uptake needed for higher performing, safer and faster charging batteries. This material offers battery manufacturers an evolutionary drop-in solution for significantly improving battery performance and safety—the material works seamlessly with incumbent anode materials and battery designs. Unlike graphene which is difficult to make economically, our current lab demonstrations are utilizing proven manufacturing techniques that should be scalable. We have also demonstrated that bio-feedstocks can be used to make the COphite material offering an option for a cost-effective, simplified and sustainable supply chain. We intend to lever these advantages to provide GmO material to cell and battery makers to enable them to deliver higher performing and safer batteries.
 
What do we need? COnovate is a critical phase of scaling the COphite material that will be used in the manufacture of anodes to meet the growing demands of the lithium-ion battery (LIB) industry. You'll be working with our expert team of scientists, engineers, technicians to support our immediate development effort. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual willing to participate in this exciting and fast-paced effort.  This position is part time, hybrid, approximately 20-30 hours per week.  Please provide a cover letter with this position.

Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping duties:
  • Prepare and process weekly payments to vendors for approval 
  • Administrative duties including file maintenance, scanning, and other projects as assigned 
  • Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice / expense report recording entries 
  • Ensure accuracy of vendor invoices: Product, Quantity and Price 
  • Maintain filing system of A/P documentation 
  • Recording, assuring appropriate documentation and obtaining approval of employee expense reimbursements, and corporate credit cards 
  • Managing and distributing information among coworkers and doing other administrative work 
  • Special projects as assigned by the Administrative Manager to improve efficiencies across the organization
  • Must be proficient in use of quickbooks  or similar accounting software package for data entry. 
Other duties:
  • Maintains office supplies and coordinates maintenance of office equipment and IT tickets. 
  • Process incoming mail as needed. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 
  • Assure timely, complete and accurate recording of all assigned functions 
  • Manage distribution, signing and filing of key documents using current software. 
  • Retrieves information as requested from records, email, minutes, and other related documents; prepares written summaries of data when needed. 
  • Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions. 
  • Support shipping and handling processes and ordering of office supplies

Qualifications:
  • Must have Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 
  • Proficient in bookkeeping tasks in QuickBooks or related software. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing. 
  • Ability to work independently. 
  • Associates degree required; Bachelors degree in related field preferred. 
  • Three to five years of experience in an administrative role. 
  • Is flexible and able to adapt fast to priority changes and has sense of urgency. 
  • Has a pragmatic approach to problem solving and a demonstrated record of creative problem solving. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team. 
  • Has a passion for innovation with an entrepreneurial mindset.
