In the role of Faculty Compensation Consultant you will be working in Finance and Administration.

Purpose

In the role of Faculty Compensation Analyst and as a key member of the Faculty Compensation Team, this position will assist with the maintenance of consistent, accurate and timely compensation analysis and support of faculty compensation and incentive processes from initial analysis to payment. A key function of this role is to facilitate the analysis of financial and compensation data, to help inform decision making and provide guidance for annual compensation planning. This role will work collaboratively with Financial Planning and Faculty Compensation team members, as well as Institutional Leadership, Physician Practice Leaders, Department leadership, Benefits, Business Intelligence, HRIS, Faculty Affairs and Provider Recruitment.

Primary Functions

  • Provide analytical and project support for internal processes and projects associated with faculty compensation management and decision making.
  • Provide data analysis, validation, evaluation, interpretation, and summarize compensation and financial data to help informed decision making and support key business cycles including compensation budget submission, annual merit cycle, and incentive plan implementation.
  • Review, analyze and manage requests for compensation recommendations for faculty while ensuring market and internal equity, using internal data and national third-party benchmarks.
  • Lead select processes and provide independent analysis, including but not limited to the maintenance of files and compilation of reports, data analysis, and assist with all other areas associated with faculty compensation.
  • Support annual analysis of faculty compensation fair market value results for Executive Compensation Committee (ECC) review, and facilitate ad-hoc off-cycle requests, data analysis, and resolution.
  • Assist with the execution of deliverables and provide analytics and project support to the Children's Specialty Group (CSG) and Medical College of Physicians (MCP), and Executive Compensation Committee meetings including organizing agendas, creating materials, and executing deliverables as needed.
  • Assist with the completion of faculty salary surveys including data collection, validation, and submission to survey vendors.
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for general compensation inbox inquiries and manage responses to questions and requests.
  • Partner with Business Intelligence as needed to maintain databases, align business rules, and update annual faculty compensation and productivity survey benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with Office of Faculty Affairs to stay current on hiring trends and market sensitive positions as well as to ensure consistency between the administration of compensation, fair market value analysis and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and institutional policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned
All remote work must be performed within one of the MCW registered payroll states, which currently includes: WI, AZ, FL, IL, IN, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, TN,TX, and UT.

  • Strong excel and analytical skills and ability to present data in a logical, concise manner.
  • Ability to synthesize data and identify key trends. Ability to explain data and metrics to non-technical audience.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to clearly communicate information necessary for business success.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to foster teamwork and collaborate effectively with others in problem identification and resolution.
  • Ability to manage stressful situations effectively and work in a fast-paced and changing environment, effectively handling priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred.
  • Attention to detail, strong critical thinking, problem solving. High level of emotional intelligence and flexibility.

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Required Experience: 2 years of experience
