Summary:

The Director, Strategic Accounts is responsible for developing and managing relationships with key healthcare decision-makers within assigned geographies, including hospitals, ASCs, and large strategic accounts. The position will play a pivotal role in driving product access, sales growth, and market share for our pharmaceutical products within your territory. The director will work closely with Account Managers, Regional Directors, Area Directors, and the National Account Team. The Strategic Account role will lead the business planning process along with the field and field leadership for selected accounts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve agreed-upon sales targets and market share objectives.
  2. Build strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including physicians, pharmacists, administrators, and purchasing managers.
  3. Partner with National Account Team, local and regional sales professionals to approach accounts in a coordinated and strategic fashion.
  4. Lead the development and negotiation of large account agreements, ensuring they are win-win propositions for all parties involved.
  5. Lead the business account planning process for selected accounts.
  6. Maintain key stakeholder relationships with key accounts across the geography.
  7. Conduct presentations and product demonstrations, effectively communicating the value proposition of our products to healthcare professionals.
  8. Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, payor team, MSLs, and sales operations, to ensure a cohesive and successful customer experience.
  9. Stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and healthcare regulations to inform strategic decision-making.
  10. Prepare accurate and timely reports to track progress, identify opportunities, and measure the success of account strategies.
Education and Experience:
  1. Bachelor's degree required
  2. MBA preferred.
  3. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device strategic account management, business development-like role
  4. Minimum of 10 years' experience in pharmaceutical or medical device industries.
  5. Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving market share growth.
  6. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  7. Strong relationship-building and negotiation abilities.
  8. Existing relationships with large geographic-based account a plus
  9. In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare landscape.
Qualifications:
  1. Strategic thinker with knowledge and expertise in the medical industry
  2. Strong communication and organizational skills
  3. Significant experience interacting with C-Suite, Director of Pharmacy Stakeholders
  4. Proven ability to drive execution and build alignment within teams and across functional areas.
  5. Demonstrated strong analytical skills.
  6. Excellent oral and written English communications skills.

Ability to travel approximately 80%
