Account Director Job Description

As a key member of our team, the Account Director will be responsible for driving growth and revenue in assigned accounts. This role requires a strong understanding of customer needs and a proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans to meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of customer strategy, past purchasing behavior, and organization.
  • Lead the development and implementation of account plans and coverage plans, including executive relationship strategies and prioritization of opportunities.
  • Drive growth in assigned accounts through the execution of strategic plans and the development of strong relationships with customers.
  • Assume a people leadership role and facilitate team selling within a virtual organization.
  • Manage resources to ensure successful enactment of strategy and operational plan.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline required; MBA preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience preferred, with a proven track record of success in sales, problem resolution, and relationship building.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to work in a matrixed team environment.
  • Ability to motivate and influence others, with a focus on customer satisfaction and loyalty.
