Job Summary:
As the Business Development Manager (HVAC and Building Automation), you will be the driving force behind promoting EASI’s comprehensive HVAC and Building Automation maintenance programs. Your primary goal will be to help clients across Maryland and Delaware reduce their energy costs, improve operational performance, and extend the life of their HVAC systems through our tailored solutions. You’ll be building relationships with key decision-makers and executing a strategic sales approach to meet and exceed sales targets.
This role is ideal for someone with a proven track record in B2B sales who thrives in a solution-based environment. If you’re motivated, love relationship-building, and are eager to make an impact in the HVAC and Building Automation industry, this role is a perfect match.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development & Networking: Identify and pursue new commercial, industrial, and institutional clients by effectively networking and cold calling. Build a pipeline of qualified prospects through industry functions (BOMA, IFMA, Chamber of Commerce) and professional networks.
- Client Engagement: Schedule meetings with decision-makers, present tailored HVAC and Building Automation solutions, and close deals that address the client’s specific needs.
- Sales Strategy: Qualify client needs, perform equipment surveys, and collaborate with leadership to create pricing estimates. Deliver compelling proposals and presentations that demonstrate the value of our services.
- Sales Growth: Set and achieve sales targets through consistent prospecting and account management. Ensure a steady funnel of new business opportunities through effective forecasting and tracking in our CRM.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with leadership to develop competitive quotes and pricing strategies. Act as the bridge between client needs and service execution.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ Years of B2B Sales Experience: Proven success in generating new business in a service-based environment, particularly within HVAC, Building Automation, or related industries.
- Relationship Builder: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on consultative, value-driven selling.
- Sales Performance: Demonstrated ability to cold call, prospect, and close deals with commercial and industrial accounts.
- Education: College degree preferred but not required if compensated by extensive experience and demonstrated results.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in HVAC and Building Automation is a plus, but a passion for learning and a strong business acumen will also set you up for success.
What We Offer:
- Competitive Compensation: On top of a competitive base salary, this role comes with a highly rewarding commission structure:
- PMA/Service Contracts:
- 15% for 3-Year PMA
- 12% for 2-Year
- 10% for 1-Year (Total Value)
- 5% of renewal value of subsequent contracts
- Referral Repair/Replace (Work discovered but quoted/sold by others): 2% of Gross Margin Earned
