We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support our client's company on a project-based consulting arrangement. The client operates in the transportation industry, specializing in efficient distribution and supply chain management.

Responsibilities:

  • Supply Chain Management: Coordinate and optimize the movement of goods, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency.

  • Inventory Control: Oversee inventory levels, conduct audits, and implement strategies to minimize stock shortages.

  • Shipping Coordination: Arrange shipments, track deliveries, and resolve any issues that may arise during transportation.

  • Vendor Communication: Liaise with suppliers and vendors to maintain strong relationships and secure favorable terms.

  • Documentation: Manage all relevant logistics documentation, including invoices, shipping manifests, and customs forms.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards in all logistics operations.

  • Problem Resolution: Address any logistical challenges promptly and implement solutions to prevent reoccurrence.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in logistics coordination or a related role within the transportation or distribution sector.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a relevant field.

  • Certifications: Professional certifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.

Skills:

  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain attention to detail.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions.

  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and vendors.

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with logistics software, inventory management systems, and tracking tools.

Contract Details:

  • Type: Project-based consulting role, on an as-needed basis.

  • Duration: Initial project with the potential for long-term collaboration based on performance and project requirements.
