Originally known for building and operating one of the U.S.'s largest rental marketplaces, Rentable, we have since expanded our portfolio to include two high-growth products: an AI martech solution and ApartmentIQ, a category-leading competitive intelligence software.

The Role

We're looking for a hands on and creative User Experience Design contractor to grow our successful and rapidly growing Marketing Automation Suite for multi-family owners and operators. Rentable's flagship Google Business Pro product is the industry's leading source of daily, 100% automated, AI content generation for multifamily marketers to manage and optimize Google Business Profiles.

This position will collaborate closely with product managers and developers to design intuitive interfaces and seamless user experiences for our product. Your work will focus on understanding user needs, conducting usability testing, and iterating designs to ensure our product delivers accessible and actionable data to our clients. Our ideal candidate will have a track record of imparting an analytical mindset to simplify complex UX problems into lean solutions and developing easy to use experiences that were central to impacting the growth of a business.

Responsibilities:

  • Design new features all the way from concept to finalized pixels.
  • Create high-fidelity designs and refine those for delivery to the development team.
  • Work directly with engineering to ensure a feature gets built, balancing your design, technical feasibility, and user value.
  • Ability to work 15-25 hours per week through the end of the 2024 in a remote capacity.

Qualifications:

  • You have 5+ years of UX product design with a portfolio showcasing the impact of your work on the business.
  • You have experience working on a small design team and "doing it all", with hands-on experience in every phase of the design process.
  • Speed is in your DNA; you enjoy being part of a team where urgency is the default setting - you think about how you can get it done today instead of tomorrow and how to get it done tomorrow instead of next week.
  • You enjoy going deep on both UX and UI work.
  • You're a clear communicator and enjoy working closely with partners across teams, particularly in engineering and product.
  • You've invested in your craft and have experience with SaaS products, preferably in marketing technology or data-driven applications, with a proven ability to simplify complex problems.
