A global OEM manufacturer company is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to support HR initiatives for their facility in SW Chicago. Responsibilities include performing duties that support HR policy and goals to promote a “high-performance” culture.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Partner with leadership and line-management to implement initiatives that support the companies’ long term objectives
  • Act as trusted advisor in coaching operations supervisors on subjects related to employee relations, career development, succession and talent management, performance management, and disciplinary actions
  • Actively develop and implement succession planning & L&D programs
  • Align department with organizational growth and change through staffing, talent development, organization design, performance management and succession planning
  • Partner with company and HR leadership to develop talent strategies related to staffing and succession plant to support company growth
  • Assist in managing and mentoring HR team members
  • Participate in or lead specific projects as assigned, supporting the VP of Global Human Resources with reports, metrics, and miscellaneous projects.
  • Utilize reporting tools to acquire and analyze metrics to support data driven decision-making

Requirements

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Minimum 7 plus years of human resources experience in a manufacturing or related environment
  • Experience developing and implementing L&D programs
  • Thorough knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to Human Resources
  • Strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and best practices
  • Must have strong analytical and critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • High intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required
