Position Summary:

The Division Sales Manager will report to the Director of Sales and will be responsible for the sale of packaging materials within assigned areas to meet the division's sales and profit goals. This role includes supervising field sales, managing product inventory and distribution, and coordinating with other company activities for efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership:

  • Develop and implement annual sales forecasts and plans.
  • Direct and oversee selling activities within the assigned division.
  • Coach and motivate the sales team to achieve peak performance.
  • Conduct weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly performance reviews.

Strategic Planning:

  • Assist in the development of the division’s sales plans and forecasts.
  • Develop sales strategies based on market feedback.
  • Lead contract negotiations and pricing strategy development.

Customer Relationships:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs and enhance customer satisfaction.

Operational Excellence:

  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and government regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and innovations.
  • Prepare and present quarterly assessments to executive leadership.

Team Development:

  • Manage and evaluate the performance of the sales team.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, evaluation, and mentoring to sales representatives.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 7+ years of business-to-business sales experience in packaging, industrial products, or freight industries.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based programs and the internet.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal, time management, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience dealing with a variety of customers in a professional manner.
  • Prior experience with CRM systems to manage sales territories.
