Job Summary:

Come join a team of passionate educators  Our philosophy is Students First so all of our decisions we make are in the best interest of our students  We are looking for a dynamic individual who is passionate about education and working with students and their families.  The Operations Manager at Sylvan Learning of Omaha is responsible for delivering educational instruction to students in the Omaha area and leading a successful team of instructors and administrative staff. The director will support student success by creating a positive learning environment, ensuring that educational programs are being delivered as designed and with positive support and encouragement.  You will be monitoring the students' programs to ensure excellent results for the students and families.

Compensation & Benefits:

The Operations Manager position pays $17 to $20 per hour, paid on a monthly basis. Employees are eligible for discounted tutoring services. 


  • Responsibilities:

    • Assess students using Sylvan's proprietary computer adaptative software
    • Monitor student progress and be aware of any learning needs that need additional attention
    • Meet with families monthly to go over progress and revisit goals
    • Help with training teachers
    • Ensure families are committed to the program and will reinvest to reach academic goals if necessary
    • Manage and execute daily operations within the center, including staff and student supervision

    Requirements:

    • Be available to work between the hours of 4:00-7:00pm Monday through Thursday and 9:00am to 1:00pm Saturday mornings.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years experience in education, customer service or sales
    • Quick learner with an eagerness to continue learning and growing
    • Proven ability to lead and motivate staff to ensure successful programs
    • Ability to quickly navigate technology platforms and a willingness to learn new emerging platforms 
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
