Job Summary The Salon Operations Manager plays a crucial role in the success of Sun Tan City by leading a dedicated team to deliver an exceptional experience for our clients. This position requires a proactive approach to managing the salon's overall operations. Key responsibilities include supervising staff, making staffing decisions (hiring, training, evaluating, and scheduling), ensuring client satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The Salon Operations Manager is expected to embody the principles of Sun Tan City, ensuring an outstanding client experience.
Key Responsibilities: Coaching and developing team members to deliver outstanding client experiences. Addressing client concerns promptly and effectively. Setting a positive example and maintaining composure during busy periods. Promoting a client-first mentality by holding team members accountable for service quality. Driving company performance metrics through actionable plans. Upholding integrity and promoting the values and mission of Sun Tan City. Planning and delegating tasks to ensure smooth salon operations. Ensuring the salon's cleanliness, maintenance, and organization. Managing staffing levels to support employee development and operational needs. Complying with wage and hour regulations for all team members. Utilizing operational tools to achieve excellence in salon management. Analyzing financial reports to identify trends and improve performance. Conducting regular performance evaluations and setting challenging goals. Overseeing ongoing sales initiatives. Committing to a 40-hour workweek across five days. Adapting to varying shifts based on business needs. Experience: Preferred college education, but not mandatory. Required management or sales experience. Basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks. Strong understanding of client service techniques and operational practices. Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. Proven leadership abilities, with a focus on coaching and mentoring. Team-building capabilities. Skills in prioritization and delegation. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Capability to bend for cleaning purposes. Ability to lift or assist with heavy items. Competence in performing cleaning tasks. Willingness to maintain a clean and organized salon environment. Compensation: Competitive hourly rate.
