The Service Manager is responsible for planning and managing the overall growth and success of the service division of Atlantic Fuels


This role involves supervising service technicians, ensuring high-quality work, overseeing departmental operations, managing sales and estimating processes, ensuring customer satisfaction, and performing field work as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage the overall growth and success of the service division.
  • Supervise all service technicians to ensure professionalism and quality of work, maintaining high standards through effective communication.
  • Provide training, conduct reviews, and manage personnel, including hiring and termination within the service division.
  • Oversee adherence to standard operating procedures across various areas including field work, inventory control, scheduling, sales/estimates, customer communication, training, and safety.
  • Review and maintain competitive pricing practices for parts and labor, ensuring estimating practices meet industry standards.
  • Work with vendors and internally to ensure pricing and current inventory management is properly done
  • Provide accurate estimates for services, ensuring transparency and competitiveness.
  • Create a schedule that ensures timely and efficient service delivery, effectively meeting customer expectations.
  • Perform service field work as required and support on-call duties as necessary.
  • Work with admin and finance departments to make sure billing is accurately done and key performance indicators are properly tracked
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their concerns promptly and effectively to improve customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Interface effectively with other departments to ensure smooth operational workflows.

Requirements:

Requirements:

  • A NH Gas Fitters License.
  • A valid DOT medical card
  • 5+ years of field experience required, and at least 2+ years of management experience preferred
  • Proven experience in customer management, supervision, scheduling, and sales.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
  • While the Service Division grows, the Service Manager will likely spend between 30-50% of their time on service calls.
