Quick Summary:

Provide Level 1 & Level 2 support for Integer Technologies' IT infrastructure by installing, monitoring, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the company's hardware, software and cloud systems in a helpdesk environment.

Long Description:

The IT Support Specialist position at Integer Technologies is a nimble, technical position that supports a growing team of Engineers and Technical Experts as they forge solutions to complex national security issues. The IT Specialist will report to the Director of Information Technology and interface between Integer Employees and outside technical resources such as CSPs. The environment is a growing, dynamic environment that will require a broad skillset of technical knowledge and soft skills. Their responsibilities include maintaining, implementing, configuring, and upgrading Integer's IT and networked assets to meet the direct and indirect project requirements. This entails working with vendors to procure necessary IT assets, software, and products, as well as providing in-house helpdesk support for hardware, software, and operating systems. Prior knowledge and experience with Windows, Azure cloud environment, and Ubuntu Linux are highly preferred, as they enable the IT Support Specialist to provide efficient technical support.

In their role, the IT Support Specialist focuses on ensuring the reliability, redundancy and optimal performance of both Windows and Linux systems. They are responsible for managing the IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, and network devices on these platforms. This involves tasks such as installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting issues that may arise. The IT Support Specialists collaborates with internal stakeholders to understand their IT requirements and implements appropriate solutions to meet their needs. They also work closely with the contracted CSP to ensure the integrity and security of Integer's IT assets. Their proficiency in Windows, Azure cloud environment, and Ubuntu Linux enables them to provide effective technical assistance to the company's personnel, resolving IT-related issues promptly.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Integer Technologies' computer systems.
  • Provide timely, best-of-class customer support to a diverse and highly skilled workforce of Engineers and Technical Specialists and prestigious University Partners in a helpdesk environment.
  • Adhere to and help continuously develop best-practice IT procedures geared towards compliance and security.
  • Operate and help administer a Microsoft 365 GCC High cloud environment by performing tasks such as administering users, monitoring activity, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Help develop and deploy solutions for premise-based hardware as well as cloud and hybrid solution sets.
  • Configuring, optimizing, and deploying Windows laptops, Windows and Linux servers, and other devices.
  • Installing new hardware and software as necessary, which includes performance, compatibility testing, and maintaining inventory either onsite or for remote locations.
  • Monitoring the company's network infrastructure, on a daily basis, for problems.
  • Ensuring the security, privacy, and integrity of the network and VPN.
  • Organizing, scheduling, and completing maintenance with minimal interruption to others.
  • Maintain IT related manufacturing hardware including touchscreens and equipment with embedded Windows systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance within one year of hire.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Networking, or other related field or the requirement may be waived with additional work experience (+5 years) and a minimum of 3 years' experience in an IT Support or Systems role.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, and Microsoft 365 (Office) Applications.
  • Working knowledge of Cloud Computing Principles, Azure, VPNs, networking, etc.
  • Professional administration experience in Windows, and/or Linux environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate and translate effectively to people who have no knowledge of the IT field.
  • Team player with an attitude of service, with a focus on the success of the research and engineering teams.
  • Highly responsive, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and self-accountable for results.

Desired Qualifications

  • Microsoft Certification(s), CompTIA Certification(s), or other industry certifications.
  • Experience working with cloud service or hybrid cloud architectures, specifically Microsoft Azure in a GCC High (E5) tenant.
  • Experience with more advanced IT security procedures and tools.
  • Experience with Split DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN, switches, firewalls, CAT6 connectivity, KVM, Wifi DSSS, SFP, PowerShell and bash scripting.
  • Working experience in a DoD support environment.
  • Working experience as helpdesk environment or IT support.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity requirements (NIST SP 800-171, SP 800-53, CMMC 2.0, NISPOM) DoD Directives.
  • Experience working with Dell hardware.
  • Experience working with Veeam or similar data retention and recovery solutions.
  • Experience working in air-gapped, secure environments processing classified data.
  • Experience developing written procedures for IT processes.
