This role is currently remote due to health guidelines, with the option to work on-site once conditions permit. Candidates must be prepared to comply with federal vaccination requirements.

Position Overview:

As a Client Support Specialist, you will engage in a dynamic and professional environment, assisting clients with their student loan inquiries. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Efficiently managing and accurately addressing inquiries related to student loans.
  • Performing necessary account updates and advising clients on personalized repayment options within federal and state regulations.
  • Delivering outstanding customer service while adhering to quality standards for both inbound and outbound communications.
  • Maintaining the highest levels of privacy and security to protect sensitive customer information.

Training and Development:

New hires will undergo comprehensive training to familiarize themselves with federal policies and customer relationship management tools, ensuring personalized service for each client interaction. Training sessions will be held from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, over an 8-week period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure prompt and accurate handling of borrower inquiries in a high-volume call center setting.
  • Process customer applications in accordance with departmental guidelines.
  • Respond to inbound messages and emails as per established procedures while meeting quality metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to obtain a Federal Public Trust Security Clearance.
  • Must not be in default on any federal student loans.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High School diploma is required; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a contact center or customer service role is advantageous.
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills.
