About Us

Mendonca & Partners is headquartered in Union, New Jersey with offices in New York City. It is strategically located within minutes of the Newark International Airport and the Newark/Elizabeth Seaport. In addition, our ideal locations on the Boston[1]Washington corridor, between metropolitan New York City and Philadelphia, make it possible to service our clients timely and efficiently.

Job Description

  • Strong organization and follow-up skills including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet all deadlines and commitments
  • Ability to give and follow instructions accurately and efficiently; proactive in asking clarifying questions to ensure work effort is directed wholly toward desired outcome
  • Demonstrates understanding of the importance of, and is willing to follow, current MP procedures; aligns with the MP vision, mission and core values
  • Ability to develop good relationships with clients and meet their expectations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to handle multiple clients’ needs and requests
  • Ability and willingness to travel to client sites as needed
  • Aptness to mentor staff accountants/interns to increase efficiency and growth

Required Qualifications

  • B.A Accounting (3.0 GPA)
  • Certified Public Account (CPA) License a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CCH Axcess and QuickBooks
  • GAAP: 1 Year (Preferred)
  • Excellent verbal & writing skills
  • Multi-lingual a plus (Portuguese, Italian and/or Spanish preferred based on demographics and client list).
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines, be reliable, organized, dedicated and effective as a team member
