Position Summary
The role of the Tax & Accounting Manager encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Demonstrated experience as a Certified Public Accountant
- Conducting thorough analysis of transactions and financial reports
- Overseeing general ledger reconciliations and managing multiple client accounts
- Engaging in firm management processes and contributing to strategic decisions
- Regularly updating partners on clients' financial conditions
- Staying abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes
- Possessing comprehensive knowledge of accounting and financial practices
- Exhibiting strong analytical capabilities with meticulous attention to detail
- Experience in conducting audits, reviews, and compilations while supervising staff
- Addressing client inquiries and proactively advising on tax-related matters
- Maintaining integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
- Facilitating training and onboarding for new team members
- Monitoring daily staff activities and providing supervision
Work Schedule & Environment
- Standard working hours from Monday to Friday
- 40-hour work week during the off-peak season
- Increased hours during the peak tax season, including weekends
- On-site work with potential for remote flexibility based on performance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CCH Axcess, and QuickBooks
- At least 3 years of experience with GAAP (preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Multilingual abilities are advantageous, particularly in Portuguese, Italian, or Spanish
- Ability to meet deadlines and demonstrate reliability, organization, and teamwork
