SUMMARY

The Office Manager provides management and leadership to the entire clinic.

REQUIREMENTS

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Responsible for the direct supervision of the Front Office staff and MA’s, delegates responsibilities, and enforces

office policies and procedures

• Trains staff on medical office procedures

• Monitor patient flow between front office, providers and other clinical staff to assure efficient use of staff time and

exam room capacity

• Monitor patient cycle times on a daily, consistent basis and identify areas for improvement

• Interact with patients to ensures patient centered care is provided

• Plan and organize clinic staff coverage during position vacancies and staff shortages

• Screen and interview prospective employees

• Evaluate performance and implement disciplinary actions regarding clinic staff

• Process payroll

• Monitor clinic billing and collections

• Answer incoming phone calls and other general administrative duties

• Maintain a positive work environment & promote a respectful workplace

• Creates on call schedule for providers

• Assists staff as needed

• Generate inventory reports, order medical and office supplies

• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate Degree strongly preferred

• Medical Assistant Certificate is required

• 2 plus years of supervisory experience is preferred

• 3 year or more of medical assistant experience is required.

SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

• Highly organized and detail oriented with good interpersonal, prioritization, and communication

skills

• Ability to maintain confidential information.

• Excellent customer service skills

• Strong organization and leadership skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Body Positions: Sitting and standing for prolonged periods.

2. Body Movements: Arm and hand dexterity.

3. Body Senses: Must have command of close and distant sight, color perception and hearing.

4. Strength: Ability to lift and move up to 25-pounds.

Working Environment:

1. Work in an office, where the climate is controlled

2. Occasional travel between medical groups and/or hospitals when necessary. 0-25 % of the time.

3. OSHA exposure category: III

a. Category I – Position includes tasks that involve exposure to Blood borne Pathogens.

b. Category II – Position includes tasks that do not have exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens,

however employment may require unplanned Category I tasks.

c. Category III – Positions includes tasks that do not involve exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens.

This position would not be required to perform Category I tasks
