Position Summary

The Bureau of Environmental Planning and Analysis (BEPA) at DEP is currently in search of a Safety and Compliance Officer. This role is essential for upholding adherence to health and safety regulations within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

As the Safety and Compliance Officer, you will be tasked with:
  • Overseeing the Employee Safety and Health Program
  • Creating and executing policies and initiatives that foster a robust EHS culture
  • Conducting investigations into safety issues and performing compliance audits
  • Offering technical support and guidance to personnel
  • Interpreting relevant regulations and organizational policies
  • Serving as the Site Safety Officer
  • Designing and implementing safety training programs
  • Monitoring employee training progress
  • Evaluating contractor safety documentation
Qualifications

Applicants should possess a degree in physical or biological sciences along with pertinent experience in safety inspections. Familiarity with OSHA/PESH regulations and EHS programs is also required.
