Job Title: Project Coordinator

Location: Huntsville, AL (Hybrid)

Canvas is seeking a Project Coordinator The Project Coordinator will assist the Program Manager, Team Leads, and the Project Controls and Contracts team in the planning, execution, and monitoring all technical directives (TD) with direct support to the Canvas B&A Contract team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating personnel on-boarding, creating Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM), tracking labor exhaustion, maintaining required contract training files and assist in the control of contract information. The PC will interact with key stakeholders and ensure timely delivery of contract milestones and contract deliverable. The PC will also be responsible for monitoring program progress, assisting Team Leads, when needed, and identifying potential risks or issues in the lower subtasks of the project, allowing the PM to focus on overall project health and customer engagements, and providing regular updates to the PM. The PC will work with Project Controls and Contracts to ensure overall project health is well and sustainable.

Duties:

  • Provide programmatic and administrative support to the AvMC B&A Contract.
  • Coordinate activities, resources, and information to ensure response to the customer.
  • Organize and coordinate monthly status reports (MSRs) from Team Leads and Subcontractors. 
  • Ensure that MSRs are correct and accurate prior to delivery to Contracts Team for complete and concise distribution.
  • Work with Project Controls and Contracts team to create ROMS, prepare justifications for realignment, and extensions.
  • Assist in the development of project plans, including scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders, including team members, customers, and vendors, to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor multiple TDs for progress and identify potential risks or issues that may impact Contract deliver.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, project plans, status reports, and project schedules.
  • Assist in the preparation of project reports and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Manage project change requests and ensure they are properly documented and approved.
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
  • Assist with Contract PMRs/status meetings, track action items, and follow up on issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline;*Years of experience may be substituted for education requirement, per customer approval.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience desired; DoD experience preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational, time management, and meeting facilitation skills.
  • Transparency with task completion, setbacks, updates, and suggestions to improve established processes.
  • Ability to work efficiently independently and with a team.

Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; active Secret clearance desired.
