Pine Gate Renewables is seeking an experienced Corporate Accounting Manger that is excited about working in the dynamic renewable energy industry. This position will report to the Director of Corporate Accounting managing the processes of the Corporate Accounting Department. You should be a self-starter possessing: solid communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and a forward-looking attitude. You should thrive working in a faced paced, deadline oriented, and evolving environment. In this role, you will lead by example providing excellent customer service, accurate and timely financial deliverables while continuously engaging in process improvement.
What You'll Do
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the corporate accounting functions including (but not limited to): account receivable, lease accounting, fixed assets, inventory accounting, payroll accounting, prepaids and accrued corporate liabilities.
- Manage the month end and quarter end close functions, working closing with corporate, subsidiary, and project accounting teams ensuring due dates are achieved.
- Prepare month over month and budget to actual account analysis on assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Review and approve all journal entries, account reconciliations, and audit schedules submitted by the Corporate Accounting ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP.
- Assist with year-end audits.
- Establish, administer, and ensure compliance with accounting procedures and controls.
- Train new and existing employees as needed on accounting processes.
- Develop cross organizational relationships with other departments to ensure a seamless transfer of information.
- Work independently and in a team environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, make decisions, prioritize job duties, and meet assigned deadlines.
- Continuously look for ways to increase efficiencies and improve processes to accommodate expected growth in volume.
- Perform other responsibilities as needed.
Must-Haves
- 4+ years of progressive responsibility in a corporate accounting environment or combination of public and corporate accounting.
- 3+ years of managerial experience.
- 3+ years of experience with complex organizational structures, joint ventures, and parent-subsidiaries.
- Strong proficiency with GAAP.
- Experience in the solar industry preferred but not required.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion and/or Sage Intacct accounting software a plus.
- Experience with accounting software implementations a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills with the ability to develop strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel Skills.
- Proficient at MS Office.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- CPA/MBA/MA is a plus.
Work Environment
- Remote; quarterly travel to Asheville, NC.
