Manager of Corporate Accounting

The Manager of Corporate Accounting plays a crucial role within the accounting department, primarily focusing on the consolidation process and overseeing monthly and year-end financial closings.
The ideal candidate will possess a background in public accounting and demonstrate proficiency in corporate accounting practices. Familiarity with real accounting scenarios is advantageous. This role reports directly to the Corporate Vice President of Finance and is a full-time position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct monthly consolidation activities
- Prepare and present financial statements
- Oversee monthly closing processes
- Manage the Loan schedule
- Ensure accuracy in the general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements. Prepare adjusting journal entries for review and approval.
- Collaborate with auditors and address inquiries related to financial statements and tax matters
- Support the Accounting Team with various ad-hoc projects as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting
- CPA certification is mandatory
- Strong understanding of GAAP Accounting principles
- Proficient in Excel with excellent analytical skills
- Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail in preparing schedules, including reconciliations
- Self-motivated learner who enjoys tackling challenges and problem-solving
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and take ownership of deliverables
- Provide technical guidance to assigned entities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience in the real estate sector is preferred.
Desirable:
- 5+ years of accounting experience with a blend of public and private sector exposure
- Experience in preparing consolidated financial statements
