Position Overview:
The Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting plays a crucial role within the accounting department, primarily focusing on the consolidation process and overseeing monthly and year-end financial closings.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in public accounting and demonstrate proficiency in consolidation and corporate financial management. Experience in real estate accounting is advantageous. This role reports directly to the Corporate Vice President of Finance and is a full-time opportunity.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct monthly consolidation processes.
  • Prepare and present financial statements.
  • Oversee and review monthly closing activities.
  • Maintain and update the Loan schedule.
  • Ensure accuracy in the general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements. Prepare adjusting journal entries for management review.
  • Collaborate with auditors and address inquiries related to financial statements and tax matters.
  • Support the Accounting Team with various ad-hoc projects as required.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting.
  • CPA certification is mandatory.
  • Comprehensive understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
  • Proficient in Excel with strong analytical skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in preparing reconciliations and schedules.
  • Self-motivated learner who enjoys tackling diverse challenges.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and take ownership of deliverables.
  • Provide technical expertise to assigned entities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in the real estate sector is preferred.

Preferred:
  • 5+ years of accounting experience with a blend of public and private sector exposure.
  • Experience in preparing consolidated financial statements.
