Terraphase is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Remediation Engineer or Geologist to join our team in our Portland, OR office.


The Role

  • Conduct environmental site assessments, investigations, and field work.
  • Work on environmental compliance projects including industrial stormwater, hazardous waste management and hazardous building material surveys.
  • Work on environmental remediation projects.
  • Develop and implement remediation plans and strategies.
  • Prepare permit applications, compliance reports, and project-related documents such as RI/FS, Phase II ESA, work plans, groundwater monitoring reports, Stormwater management plans, SWPPPs, NPDES compliance documents, etc.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and client relationships.
  • Mentor and supervise junior technical staff.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, regulatory documents, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Collaborate with CAD, GIS, and database staff on project needs.


Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or related field.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT), Geologist-in-Training (GIT), Professional Engineer (PE), or Licensed Geologist (LG) or Hydrogeologist (LHG) license in the state of Oregon preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental consulting or engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of Oregon state environmental regulations.
  • Experience with preparation of remedial investigation reports, remedial design reports, cost estimating, environmental compliance, industrial stormwater pollution control plans and supervision of field implementation of remediation activities.
  • Proficient in analysis, evaluation, presentation, and interpretation of geologic, hydrologic, hydrogeologic, and chemical data obtained during field investigations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to health and safety.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, analytical, organizational, technical writing, and client service skills.

Salary

Compensation for this position is based on years of experience, technical expertise, technical education, and geographic location with a range of $90,000 to $114,675.
