Your Role


We are currently looking for a Senior Environmental Remediation Specialist with 7 to 10 years of relevant experience.


The successful candidate will contribute to various remediation initiatives, which may encompass:

  • Conducting feasibility studies and designing remedial systems
  • Preparing comprehensive reports and pre-design investigations
  • Overseeing construction management and the operation of remedial systems


Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing work plans, sampling strategies, feasibility assessments, and remedial action plans
  • Drafting environmental permit applications (e.g., air and wastewater permits)
  • Creating engineering evaluations, design memorandums, and treatment system designs
  • Reviewing plans, specifications, and special provisions for remediation projects
  • Ensuring timely and accurate project completion, with occasional work outside standard hours
  • Assessing contractor submissions and managing payment applications and change orders
  • Conducting final inspections and completing project closeout activities
  • Traveling for project site visits, with overnight stays as necessary
  • Maintaining a valid driver's license and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Who You Are


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering
  • 7 to 10 years of engineering or consulting experience focused on remedial design
  • Familiarity with regulations such as CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA, and others
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and professional judgment
  • Proficient in computer skills and organizational tasks
  • Willingness to travel to project sites


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering
  • Professional Engineering (PE) certification in New York or Massachusetts
  • Massachusetts Licensed Site Professional (LSP) certification
  • Experience in engineering designs for water and vapor treatment
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER Training
