We are located in Nashville, TN on the west side of town, and seeking an intern for our Marketing Department. This is a paid internship, and the working hours are 20 hours per week for a 12-week period. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Marketing Department with a variety of digital content and video responsibilities.
Experience You will Gain: Our Digital Communications interns gain meaningful, real-world experience in key areas that demonstrate competency in all stages of content creation. You can expect to develop confidence and marketable skills by engaging in or assisting with the following activities:
- Social Media
- Photography
- Video
- Pre-production planning
Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Work with the Social Media Specialist to create content for Cheekwood’s social media channels. This may include writing blog posts, creating graphics, editing photos or videos, and developing multimedia content.
- Capture photographs and film footage of exhibitions, programs, tours, and events for marketing and social media purposes. Requires evening and weekend availability.
- Participate in all stages of content creation, from pre-production planning to production and post-production editing.
- Assist the Social Media Specialist in researching trends, brainstorming ideas, and creating a weekly video plan for TikTok and Instagram that aligns with Cheekwood’s brand and resonates with our target audience.
- Analyze and track TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram analytics for monthly reports.
- Allocate one hour per week to develop high-quality content tailored specifically for the Retail team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Intern Experience Video
- Must be an undergraduate enrolled in an accredited college pursuing a degree in Interactive Media, Digital Media, Public Relations, Marketing, Video Production, Communications, Advertising or any related major. Recent graduates will also be considered.
- Strong working knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with video editing software, particularly Adobe Premiere Pro, and familiarity with other video editing applications such as CapCut.
- Familiarity with Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and Illustrator is a plus.
- Working knowledge of DSLR camera.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and aesthetics.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
