Job Summary
The Legal & Regulatory Assistant will work with Ziply Fiber’s Legal and Regulatory team consisting of
General Counsel, two Assistant General Counsels, VP-Regulatory & External Affairs, Regulatory &
External Affairs Manager and two Local Partnerships Managers. This role will help manage the legal and
regulatory affairs of the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities listed below are a range of duties performed by the employee
and not intended to reflect all duties performed.
  • Corporate and regulatory maintenance such corporation and subsidiary management, business
    license management, FCC license management and intellectual property database management.
  • Regulatory compliance support such as assisting in research and applications related to
    telecommunications franchises and other right of way issues as well as assist in preparation and
    filing of regulatory matters and reports.
  • Litigation management such as project intake and triage, review and collection of information
    related to legal issues and claims and management of subpoena compliance.
  • Manage contract database.
  • Proactively support department with special projects, high-level meetings (both internal/external)
    and preparation of meeting materials.
  • Conduct outreach and follow-up with internal and external persons, including Senior Leadership
    Team, law firms and customers (daily and with shifting priorities responding to needs of
    organization).
  • Perform factual research as needed.
  • Must be available to work regular business hours Pacific Standard Time.
  • Must also be available to work on-call, evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Performs other duties as required to support the business and evolving organization.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two-year degree, paralegal training certificate a plus.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a corporate setting, concentrating in corporate or
    regulatory law (or equivalent experience).
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (i.e., Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and focused on completing tasks under pressure with
    minimal supervision.
  • Team player willing to support other members of the Legal and Regulatory Department.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive material with discretion.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to work independently and apply sound judgment and reasoning skills to a variety of
    situations.
  • Ability to multi-task and collaborate effectively with other personnel to meet deadlines.
