Key Responsibilities- Corporate and Regulatory Maintenance:
- Manage corporation and subsidiary records
- Oversee business license management
- Coordinate FCC license management
- Manage intellectual property database
- Regulatory Compliance Support:
- Assist in research and applications related to telecommunications franchises and right of way issues
- Prepare and file regulatory matters and reports
- Litigation Management:
- Manage project intake and triage
- Support discovery and review of information related to legal issues and claims
- Manage subpoena compliance
- Contract Management:
- Manage contract database
- External Affairs:
- Maintain External Affairs contact list
- Special Projects:
- Support the Department with special projects and high-level meetings
- Minimum 2-year degree, paralegal training certificate a plus
- 3+ years of experience in a law firm or corporate setting, concentrating in corporate or regulatory law
- Highly proficient in MS Office
- Organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and focused on completing tasks under pressure with minimal supervision
- Team player willing to support other members of the Legal and Regulatory Department
- Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive material with discretion
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work overtime
- Ability to work independently and apply sound judgment and reasoning skills
- Ability to multi-task and collaborate effectively with other personnel
- Strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Ability to work within critical deadlines
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contracts, legislation, statutes, regulations, agency notices, and public filings
