Certified Nursing Assistant

Compensation: $35.35 per hour
Incentives:
- Up to $5,000.00 bonus for experienced CNAs with 2 or more years of experience and new employees of EvergreenHealth.
- Up to $2,500.00 bonus for CNAs with a minimum of 1 year of experience and new employees of EvergreenHealth.
Position Overview: Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, the Unit Technician engages in both direct and indirect patient care, treatment, transportation, and various administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, document, and communicate changes in patient status and/or symptoms, including vital signs, respiration, discomfort, intake, output, weight, and bleeding.
- Assist with or prepare patients for transport, including transferring patients to and from beds, gurneys, or wheelchairs. Facilitate the transportation of patients, their belongings, blood products, supplies, pharmaceuticals, equipment, and specimens to various locations.
- Address patient inquiries; respond or refer appropriately. Manage patient call lights; assess the nature of the issue; respond within scope and/or obtain necessary resources.
- Support RNs and other healthcare professionals with wound care and patient procedures as directed.
- Accountable for adherence to attendance, punctuality, and overall reliability. Responsible for effective performance and completion of all assigned duties within designated timeframes, consistent with organizational policies, goals, and values.
- Fulfill the responsibilities associated with this position in support of the organization.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Mandatory:
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (NA-C) in the State of Washington.
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by the date of hire.
- Ability to apply knowledge of basic patient care techniques and procedures relevant to the assigned age group.
- Recent experience in an acute care environment.
