Home Health Executive Director

 As the Executive Director, you will define and lead the overall strategy and execution of growth objectives for our multi-site business operations. You will ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards of practice. This role is accountable for the overall operations, implementing directives from the governing body, and maintaining the highest standards of care.

As the Executive Director, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

  • Leadership and Strategy:
    • Communicate the business plan and core values effectively to the team.
    • Provide motivation and leadership to operational staff.
    • Act as the primary channel of communication between the governing body and the organization’s employees.
  • Operational Management:
    • Direct and organize operational staff in designing, delivering, and evaluating business operations.
    • Manage home health, Personal Care and Support Services (PCSS), and facilities services.
    • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and clinical best practices.
  • Financial and Performance Management:
    • Meet key performance indicators (KPIs) through effective financial management.
    • Own the P&L responsibility for all service line expansions.
    • Develop and implement the agency’s specific annual plan.
    • Achieve and maintain positive patient quality of care outcomes and patient satisfaction results.
  • Customer and Community Relations:
    • Develop customer objectives and strategies.
    • Maintain customer relationships and drive higher levels of satisfaction.
    • Identify and resolve customer concerns or complaints.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure full compliance with all state and federal regulatory requirements.
    • Complete and distribute required reports to the governing body.
    • Maintain proper city, state, and federal licensure.
  • Human Resources Management:
    • Recruit and retain qualified employees and contractors.
    • Conduct ongoing assessments of employee performance.

A few must-haves for our Executive Director:

  • Bachelor's degree in health services, business administration, management, nursing, public health, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • Clinical professional license in at least one state preferred.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive healthcare management experience.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in home health.
  • Experience in business operations, planning, staff supervision and P&L responsibility
  • Extensive knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
