PROGRAM COORDINATOR I or II
The Program Coordinator I or II - is responsible for managing all activities of assigned group home(s) and assuring that they are completed in an efficient manner, while a safe and healthful environment conducive to individual growth is maintained. The PC I or II is the first-line supervisor for assigned direct service staff, usually no fewer than six staff per assigned location, and monitors their performance to assure that individuals receiving direct care in the home(s) receive services and active treatment as prescribed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- The employee in this position is responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of the group homes to which he/she is assigned and for the programming for each individual in those homes.
- Supervises direct services staff (LCMs and LSI’s) in assigned homes; provides feedback, conducts performance evaluations, and makes recommendations for commendations or disciplinary actions, up to and including dismissal.
- Schedules work hours and assignments for direct support staff and monitors for adequate staff coverage, control of overtime, and adherence to assigned schedules to maintain compliance with budget.
- Participates in the recruitment and hiring process and makes recommendations regarding employment of applicants.
- Is familiar with all applicable federal, state and local standards related to CRSS Services and Ralph Scott Lifeservices, Inc. Policies and Procedures.
- Assures that programming standards are met for individuals receiving supports in the assigned homes.
- Provides direct monitoring of planned outcomes for individuals as well as performance of staff by on-site presence in assigned residential location(s) and direct contact with individuals on a schedule determined and/or approved by supervisor.
- On a weekly basis monitors programs and data for accuracy, completeness, and progress. Provides written documentation and progress notes.
- Rotates "on call" responsibilities.
- Maintains all programming records in assigned homes with supervision by a QP.
- Counsels with individuals receiving supports and staff to insure good individual/staff relationships within the home.
- Serves as a role model to individuals receiving direct care.
- Works flexible hours to supervise staff and household activities.
- Coordinates services for individuals receiving supports in assigned homes.
- Works cooperatively with other agencies serving Ralph Scott Lifeservices individuals receiving supports.
- Assures that work is done smoothly and efficiently, and within budgetary constraints.
EDUCATION
- A four-year undergraduate degree in human services or related field: two years’ experience in mental intellectual and developmental disabilities or equivalent education and experience.
- Must meet the State requirements for QP.
OTHER
Must have a valid driver license and own transportation for travel on RSL business.
