Honda Aero, Inc. in Burlington, NC is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist II to join our team. As a key member of our Purchasing Department, you will be responsible for performing tactical and strategic buying activities to support on-time delivery and overall part readiness in support of Manufacturing, Engine Assembly, and MRO. Your expertise will be essential in initiating and evaluating RFQ/RFPs to support business needs, placing POs based on cost, quality, and delivery requirements, and coordinating meetings with suppliers and customers to ensure business project goals are being met.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and quality products.
- Initiate and evaluate RFQ/RFPs to support business needs and negotiate contracts with suppliers.
- Work closely with Engineering and Suppliers to accomplish process improvement goals in support of on-time delivery.
- Provide support to team members to ensure process understanding and adherence.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or closely related field.
- Minimum 3 years of procurement or logistics-related experience.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage supplier relationships and work in teams to build consensus.
- Climate-controlled office environment.
- Occasional exposure to manufacturing areas may require personal protective equipment.
- Less than 10% travel.
