Incorp Industries is currently seeking an HR Administrator to be based out of our Evansville, IN office. Incorp Industries provides scaffold, industrial insulation, sheet metal, asbestos abatement, industrial lead removal, abrasive blasting, and coatings services to industrial contractors and owner clients in the power generation, petrochemical, grain, pulp and paper, mining, and manufacturing industries.

The HR Administrator responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coordinating new hire onboarding processes, assisting with completion of new hire virtual paperwork, conducting background checks and drug screens, maintaining employee records and providing support to the HR team. The HR Admin. role plays a crucial part in ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding experience for employees, as well as maintaining compliance with company polices and procedures. Successful candidates should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, have excellent time management skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Organize, maintain, and update internal HR database with digital personnel records of relevant employee information.

• Manage the onboarding experience by monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of onboarding activities.

• Manage the onboarding, background and drug test process from start to finish, including scheduling, tracking, and reporting.

• Monitor and assess the progress of new hires to ensure they are making satisfactory progress.

• Assist in the recruitment process by providing information to potential candidates and Hiring Managers.

• Liaise with other departments to ensure new hires and hiring have the necessary support and resources.

• Process required pre-employment Background Screens, Drug Test and MVR

• Handle employee queries, written or verbal with the utmost confidentiality

• Keep up to date on current issues and matters related to the HR department

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Proficient in using HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and other HR-related software.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with employees at all levels.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• High level of discretion, confidentiality, flexibility, integrity, and honesty.

• Must be able to interact with employees at all levels of the organization as well as contractors and suppliers.

• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Certifications/Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).

• Previous experience in a similar role as an HR Administrator or HR Assistant is preferred.

• Knowledge of HR best practices and current trends.

• Familiarity with various HR processes, such as recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and employee relations.

• Understanding of HR-related legislation and compliance requirements.

• Certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 7 am - 4 pm

• Periodic weekend and after-hours availability

Work Location/Travel Expectations

• Primary reporting location: Office – Evansville, IN.

Must be authorized to work in the United States, pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and driving record check.
