About this Role:

InflexionPoint is currently looking for a Business Development Account Executive to lead targeted sales efforts with new mid-tier to enterprise level manufacturing clients across multiple sectors. Core responsibilities include creating and winning a portfolio of new client engagements then transitioning account management and further development to the account management and implementation team. Key manufacturing target segments include Life Sciences, Food & Beverage, and Critical Infrastructure. Business Development Account Executive position is a full time, salaried, exempt role, reporting directly to the EVP of Business Development.


Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and manage sales activities and the sales pipeline to meet/exceed annual revenue targets and business goals
  • Develop new business relationships resulting in closed engagement opportunities
  • Present ACC’s unique value proposition to the top-level executives of clients
  • Evangelize ACC’s unique capabilities to deliver leading edge digital solutions, advanced analytics and AI software solutions through presentations and discussions, participate at events, and tradeshows.
  • Create and define business solutions that best satisfy clients’ needs and achieve their desired business outcomes
  • Organize and mobilize sales team members appropriately (including SME, App Engineers, Project Management & ACC Execs) to facilitate the closure of business


Requirements:

Education, Certifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Biological Sciences, or related technical field
  • 7 years minimum (experience with the "Challenger Sale" process preferred, including selling consulting services)
  • Accustomed to communicating at all management levels of potential client firms, from “C” level executives to operations management to IT professionals
  • Proficiency in CRM (Zoho, Salesforce, HubSpot) preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with “Smart” Mfg. software systems/platforms (MES/MOM, Advanced Analytics, ML & AI) and data*

  • Excellent understanding of the industry, including key players, strategies, client structures, business models, sub-verticals, needs, challenges, and key trends
  • Team player who is also highly self-reliant (self-managed) and self-motivated
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to think, write, and present in a logical, structured, and polished manner
  • Demonstrates a strategic, creative, and analytical approach to sales with a focus on initiating, building client relationships and closing business
