About the Role

PRA Business Events is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director of Business Development to lead our local office in Salt Lake City/Park City. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing strategic partnerships, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Destination Leadership
    • Oversee the management of office Sales, Creative, and Operations functional areas, providing day-to-day support and guidance to the local team.
    • Support local recruiting, on-boarding, and training efforts of new team members.
    • Create and maintain a positive work culture and environment by mentoring and motivating team members.
  • Business Development
    • Lead local business development efforts, including building and maintaining hotel and supplier partnerships, relationships with local industry partners, developing Sales strategy and marketing plans, and product development.
    • Support the team with site inspection planning and execution and client presentations to win business opportunities for targeted accounts.
    • Lead the Sales process on highly strategic, large-scale revenue opportunities.
    • Represent the office in local industry functions.
  • Business Operations
    • Collaborate with the Regional Vice-President on the development and implementation of business strategies supporting PRA's corporate initiatives.
    • In collaboration with Regional Directors of Experience Design and Event Production, identify, develop, and manage relationships with local supplier partners to support the evolving needs of the business and leverage the PRA brand.
    • Collaborate and support the Operational team to ensure flawless program development and execution.
    • Collaborate with centralized Sales and Creative functional leaders to elevate needs for specialized or supplemental resources as needed on a project basis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of computer usage, including database and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients, suppliers, and Field Staff.
  • Possess proactive and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of local area attractions, hotels, city streets, parks, and other venues.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including general office hours, weekends, frequent evenings, and some holidays.
  • Ability to work within deadline constraints and set priorities.
  • Possess a professional manner and appearance when representing PRA.
  • Ability to perform multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize responsibilities and work assignments.
